My first IPL appointment

Like I wrote in my last post, my first IPL appointment was two days ago.
Maybe you remember, that I said I'd try to take pictures, but I didn't know that I was going to wear an eye mask so it was kind of hard to take pictures xD

Well, I think I'll write something about the process.
Before you go to you appointment you have to shave your legs to make sure they're in the "growing state", which is the only state where you can remove them. Actually what you do is atrophying the hair roots ^^
Usually, with each appointment you can atrophy 20-25% of the hair roots and it is common to have 4-8 appointments. I've read horror stories in the internet that people had 20 appointments and still couldn't see anything o.O
I would never pay for 20 appointments when I see that it's not working...

I was kind of worried that IPL wouldn't work for my hair, because I read that it only works on dark hair, but when Daniela, the woman who did the whole IPL procedure, saw my legs she immediately said, that my hair is dark enough.
I can't even imagine someone having even lighter hair on the legs than I do, cause my hair is already so light. ^^
Apparently it works best with dark hair and light skin. My skin is pretty light, so that should work^^

I laid down on a lounger and put my eye mask on.
Then Daniela put some very thick lotion on my legs and did a test run with the laser (actually I think it's no laser but impulse pulsating light or something like that? But it's shorter to write laser) to see if it hurts me.
At first I didn't even notice that she already lasered me, since I didn't really feel anything.
We then proceeded to do the whole leg. The pain was very bearable. It feels like a very warm object touches your skin for such a super short time. Sometimes it tweaks a bit, imagine someone pull a single hair out of your leg^^

After 20 minutes we were done!
Daniela said that I shouldn't go into the sun during the treatment, but she knows that's that really hard so I should just use sunscreen with SPF 30.

Now, 2 days later, I imagine that I can already see where the hair is gone^^ I guess it's impossible xD

Oh and for the costs, I am pretty lucky because I bought a coupon at Groupon.de, I'm sure there's a site like this in the country where you live, and there was an offer to get 6 appointments for 60€.
Usually one appointment is 50€ for the legs.

That seems much, but I think I would still pay the full price for it (provided that it works), because you're looking forward to a stress-free life of not shaving your legs ever again!

Sorry that I couldn't take pictures, I think after this weekend I'll have more to blog about^^

Btw is the weather also so shitty where you live? Yesterday it rained the whole day, without a break -.-

Oh and also thank you for your comments on my last post, they were .. great? horrible? xD
I thought they were great, but the stories about old men, weird people etc. were really horrible haha :D
Why are there people like that?! -.-

I'm going to answer your comments later!
I hope you have a nice day!

Guys that can't accept a NO!

I'm so so sorry about the lack of good posts, I know, my last post started exactly like this one, but lately there really isn't anything post-worthy xD
As I'm writing this there comes something to my mind that I wanted to write about a few days ago already and somehow forgot it.

So this post will be about Guys that can't accept a "No."

Two or three days ago I was on my way home from university when suddenly someone grabbed my shoulder and stopped me. It was a guy saying that I looks so pretty and blablabla, and if we want to hang out a bit.
I said "No, sorry, I don't have time." Actually I didn't have anything to do, but I just didn't want to hang out with him.
I thought that the conversation was over at that point, but he asked "Why don't you have time? What are your plans today?" And I was like wtf? why should I tell a stranger what my plans are?!.
But since I can't be mean to stangers I said that my mom is gonna pick me up and we'll do something together, because I thought he wouldn't say anything against me spending time with my mom.
He then proceded to say, that I should tell my mom to come an hour later, so we could hang out. I said "No!"
And he was like "But your mom loves you or not? Doesn't she want you to have fun?"
WTH?! That's so rude! Who says that I can't have fun with her and who says that I would want to "have fun" with a random stanger from the street?! And who is he to question if my mom loves me or not!!
I was really pissed at that point and really just wanted to go.
He just went along with me until I arrived my train station asking over and over again to choose him over my mom. I can't count how often I said that I didn't want to hang out with him.

When my train was about to arrive he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to hang out with him another day.
Seriously? If I wanted to hang out with him anytime I wouldn't have said "No, I don't have time", I would have said "No, I don't have time, but maybe sometime else?".
Why is it so hard to understand that I just don't want to do anything with him? How often do I have to say no until he gets it?! I know I should have said something like this to him, but I am just too polite.

He even asked me for my mobile phone number and I gave him a wrong one.

I really really hate guys like that. Also he was black, so it's pretty difficult to say "Sorry, you're not my type" without being labeled racist.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't turn him down because he was black, but because I was just not interested. I would have also turned him down if he was white.
But I have heard sentences like "You don't like me because I'm black right?", "Fuck you, you're a Nazi anyway!" too many times now. It's so annoying to be labeled a Nazi whenever you say something bad about or to someone foreign. Argh, this really makes me angry.
I mean he was really rude, don't I have the right to be rude back?! I am so sick that we Germans have to be polite at every given time, even if others aren't polite to us.
I think I will post something about this anytime soon^^

Well, I didn't say that he wasn't my type due to the reasons above.
So back to the story,
I gave him a wrong number and took the train. I live in a huge city, so it's very unlikely that you meet someone, who you just randomly met in the city, twice.
I was very sure that I wouldn't see him ever again and decided to forget about that.

The very next day I saw him again!
This is so weird. I don't even meet my friends randomly in the city that often.
Well, I guess he wasn't very happy about the day before and started flipping me off and shouting things like "Stupid Bitch!" etc.
Very classy...
-.-

Okay, that's the end of the story. Have you ever experienced something like that? What do you do if somebody that annoying and pushy wants to talk to you?

Since I don't like posts without pictures I'll show you a picture of a shitty cocktail me and my friend Conni did yesterday.
We had to improvise about everything, since it was Whitmonday and all the shops were closed xD Can you guess which cocktail it's supposed to be?

It's a Mojito.
Acutally it's made with white Rum, but we only had brown one. We also didn't have crushed ice and lime juice.
We used regular ice cubes, but they melted away immediately and we sqeezed some lemons instead of using the lime juice.
Usually the mojito is so pretty, because the mint leaves are between the crushed ice, but because we didn't have crushed ice the leaves just floated at the surface -.-
At least it tasted a bit like the real deal xD

Okay, this was really random ^^
Tomorrow I have my first IPL treatment. I'm going to laser the hair on my lower legs. At first I wanted to do it on my armpits, but I thought the legs are bigger and therefore wasting more of the razorblade, so I shall do the legs first and then continue with the armpits^^ (maybe)

I heard that IPL or laser only works on darker hair and my leg hair isn't really that dark, so I'm kinda worried, but we'll see.
I'm really excited :D I waited for this appointment for 2 month!
I'll try to take pictures and to report as much as possible to you.

Rambling: ESC, Tumblr, Blackberry and Lactose

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately :(
I've been trying to enjoy the weather as much as I could, since I had so many lectures. Of course the weather has to be so perfect, when I don't have time to enjoy it -.-
But, I won't complain. It still makes me happy as nothing else can make me happy. Not even clothes, or flowers, or mmmh.... new mobile phones xD
Okay, I think you got how happy it makes. I'm a sun-person. I don't really get too hot in the sun, I can bear pretty much, and I will never ever whine about the weather being to hot. Never. Even if it is too hot, I won't complain.

Okay, I think I don't have to write about how great the weather is anymore, since you probably all know that, and about every blogger, whose blog I read, has already talked about it^^

Instead I decided to do some updates.

First: ESC

Before I forget, I have to quickly write this down.
I just came back from my best friend, Gina's, house. We watched the second preliminary round of the ESC.
Gina is literally an ESC Freak. She gets really excited about it and last year, when the ESC took place in Germany, she even went there.
I'm not so fanatic about it, but I still like to watch it.
I have never watched the preliminary rounds though, since Germany is always in the finals and doesn't have to go through the preliminary rounds.
While we watched the contestants we noted down our top 10. These were:

1. Malta !
2. Georgia
3. Turkey !
4. Ukraine
5. Slovakia
6. Sweden
7. Croatia
8. Estonia !
9. Lithuania !
10. Norway

The ones with the exclamation mark were the ones, that were important to us.
We both loved Malta and really hoped for it to qualify, Turkey was Gina's favorite, so we hoped for that too. Georgia was nice also and since I have some (teeny tiny) roots in Lithuania we hoped for them too.
Croatia was on our list, because we were so sorry, cause it was the seventh (I think) time the woman tried to get past the semifinals and we really wanted her to get past it this time.

In the end it turned out that these countries made it:

1. Malta
2. Georgia
3. Turkey
4. Ukraine
5. Slovakia
6. Sweden
7. Croatia
8. Estonia
9. Lithuania
10. Norway

I think that's a pretty good quote. 7 out of our 10 favorites made it to the finals :D
Although I'm really sorry for the Croatian woman and of course for all the other contestants.
Just imagine the pain. You are so close to perfom at the ESC and then you fail so shortly before -.-
That must hurt so bad :(

Are you excited about the ESC? I got really excited while watching it ^^
Sadly I won't be able to watch the finals live, but I think I'm going to record it and watch it afterwards. So don't tell me who won!!

Second: Tumblr

As you may know from a previous post I made a tumblr some while ago.
I didn't really log into it that often, but I already posted to pictures.

When I logged into my tumblr again today I saw this:

And I was like "what the hell is all this?!?!"

Then I realised that some of my two pictures must have been discovered by someone ^^
And guess what, it's this picture:

A yoghurt!
Lol xD I mean I really liked that yoghurt too, but... it's still just a yoghurt ^^
Imo the picture of my camera would have deserved so much attention. Don't get me wrong, I like attention in every way, even if it's just through a yoghurt, but still... xD

139 mentions may not seem much to some, but it seems much to me^^ After all it was just the second photo I posted on tumblr.

Third: Blackberry

I'm not quite sure if I wrote it on my blog yet, but I ordered a new pink case for my blackberry. Immediately after I ordered it (and payed it) I got a notification by ebay, that the seller got deleted and that I should try to get my money back in case I won't receive the item.
The seller already sent me an email, that the item was sent and I thought I'd wait a bit, if it will arrive or not.
To my surprise it did!
I was so happy, that I didn't notice the shitty quality -.-
When I tried to put the case on the blackberry it broke -.- I'm quite pissed off, but I also don't feel like contacting the seller and keep struggling with him, so I just put the BB aside for a bit and I'm back to using my Nokia again. *not sure if happy about it*

Fourth: Lactose

I have noticed for some years already, that whenever I drink milk, cocoa or chai latte I get sick afterwards.
I never really payed attention to it, because I get sick easily and I'm quite used to the feeling of being sick (although it's annoying).
I love cocoa, conflakes and chai latte, so I just ate/drank it anyway, but today I decided to do a little test and order a chai latte with lactose-free milk and see if I still get sick (I thought that maybe I was sick because of something else^^).
Unfortunately, or fortunately, idk, I didn't get sick at all...
That means, that I'm probably lactose-intolerant fml

I know that lactose intolerance is not really a disease (it's more the other way round. If can tolerate lactose, that's a disease^^ But in Europe and North America there are more people that can tolerate it than the other way round. But in Asia, Africa and South America the majority can't tolerate lactose. Maybe I'll explain it later in another post, now I'm just too tired x.x), but it's still annoying.

I know, that was pretty random, but that's just what's in my mind right now^^.
Good night
<3

Kirschblütenfest/ Cherry Blossom Festival

Yesterday was the Kirschblütenfest, which translates to cherry blossom festival or sakura festival I think(?), in Hamburg. On this day Hamburg celebrates the friendship between Hamburg and Japan.
Usually there is always a big firework at the end of the day, which all the people enjoy, but last year it was cancelled because of the catastrophe in Fukushima. So this year I was especially excited.

Every year I look forward to this day, cause I love it so much^^
Unfortunately yesterday everything went wrong :(

Still happy in my bf's car
(My hair looks awful, I really don't know what I should do about it. Any ideas?)

After my bf and I drove about half the way to "Planten und Blomen" where the japanese garden is, suddenly a part of his car's window broke, causing the window to fall down into the door. Kind of when you wind down the window to the maximum, so you can't see it anymore.
Since this part broke we couldn't wind it up again and we had to drive back to my home to get my moms car.
This took so much time T.T
When we arrived in the japanese garden I looked at the programm with all the activities I saw, that the last one, the tea ceremony started 5 minutes ago.
We tried to get into the house, where it took place, but it was locked :( That means we missed all the activities :( Just because of this stupid window. Why does it have to break on this day?! Why can't it break on a day where there's nothing important happening??
Well, I was kind of frustrated and we decided to do some photos and then head back home and come back for the firework at night, because my bf had to find someone to fix his window, so the car doesn't stand outside in the night open for all thieves.

These are the photos we took

I love Planten und Blomen, it's so green and peaceful^^

fast forward
In the evening, I was a bit happier again, just I could at least see the firework.
In "Planten und Blomen" there is (in the summer) a hydraulic organ (lol, had to search this word in the dictionary) which attracts many visitors and it's really beautiful to watch. I think it takes place several days a week, but I'm not sure.
Well, when we arrived in the japanese garden again, I saw, that the hydraulic organ took place right in that minute and I got really excited.
I ran, to get a good glimpse on the water and maybe take a good picture, but when I arrived at a good place I head the final chords and all the lights when off -.- It was over -.-
Again, I missed it just for seconds.
This was also the moment, when we heard the firework.
Yep, we heard it, but we couldn't see anything -.- That was when I realised, that the firework wasn't in the japanese garden, but at the Alster -.-
At that moment, I was really really disappointed and thought that the day couldn't get any worse, cause I missed everything.
My bf said that we could go to the cinema instead, so that we still have a nice evening and I agreed.
When we arrived at the cinema, we noticed that we could see the firework pretty well from there and I got happy again :D
Until I realised, that we just saw the last rocket and it was over --------.-------
Missed it again!!!
Yeah, rub it in, I don't mind -.-
Actually I do mind! I mean it wouldn't be so bad, if I missed everything for an hour, but not for some seconds :( That's just so mean!

Oh, and btw this is the Kirschblütenprinzessin, meaning cherry blossom princess.
Hamburg is one of the three cities, that has the right to elect a cherry blossom princess.
I really want to be the CBP! :D That such a cute title^^
I don't know what you are supposed to do to become the CBP, but I think I'm really going to try^^
I think the current CBP isn't unbelievable gorgeous (not trying to be mean), so maybe I have a chance? ^^
I WANT THAT TITLE!

Spectacular animals and Tropenaquarium

Today I didn't really plan to do anything. My bf said he would come and pick me up so we can chill a bit and do nothing, but instead of doing nothing he drove straight to the "Tropenaquarium", which means something like tropical aquarium^^ That was easy, wasn't it xD

I love love love love love the Tropenaquarium. It's one of my favorite places to be in Hamburg <3 I have been there many times, but it always makes me happy to be there. Kind of like being happy to eat spaghetti. You have already eaten it a thousand times, but it's still the best^^

Actually I know all the animals there, cause I've seen them so often already, but I just can't remember their names -.-
Sometimes I feel it's so weird, that we can remember 150 or even 450 Pokemon names, but we can't remember the names of the animals that really exist. I guess it's because we can get passionate about pokemon and "bond" with them (at least I do xD ) and that's pretty hard with real animals. Especially if they're not in our natural environment like most of the animals in the Tropenaquarium.
If you live in Africa or South America you may see all these animals in "real life" (that means you have to know their names! xD) but in Germany, there are hardly any animals...
Somehow the only animals I see are squirrels and some birds. And sometimes, maybe 3 times a year, I see  some deer... and sometimes bunnies. Okay, the more I think about it the more animals come into my mind, but these are just common animals. Nothing spectacular.
Somehow always when I watch animal documentations all the spectacular animals are in Australia. I mean there is no animal in Germany that is comparable to kangaroos for example. Or all the poisonous animals you always hear about, like the box jellyfish. Okay, I'm quite happy that we don't really have poisonous animals in Germany^^
Also Africa has some of the most spectacular animals. I'm obviously talking about lions, giraffes, elephantes etc.
I could go on and write something like this about every continent.... except for Europe. Why does it feel like every continent has some awesome species to show off, except for us?!

Maybe it's because Europe is too densely populated. Maybe we just don't have room for big spectacular animals. In North & South America, Africa, Asia and Australia, there are everywhere some areas that aren't really populated, well, not densely populated, but I'm not really sure if there are any areas like this in Europe?
Maybe in the north, in Scandinavia, but not really in Central and Western Europe, right? Or am I wrong?
Are there any impressive animals where you live? (Even a racoon would be impressive to me... xD)

Okay, that was kind of a rant that wasn't planned^^ I just had to get my thoughts out.
Now on to the photos :D
(sorry for not knowing most of the animal's names)
(also sorry for my a bit too casual outfit, as I said, I thought I wasn't going to do anything today)

I think these are lemurs? I love them, they're so cute :D I just want to stuck my nose in their fur and cuddle them all day <3

Look how cute they're all cuddling :D I want to join them!

He looks so chill, I bet he feels like he's the boss. Maybe he is?

A Baby!!! So so cute, it reminded me of Mini, always jumping around and hitting the adults on their heads xD

Although I'm usually all about pink and soft stuff, I actually liked this .. animal xD
Kind of a big lizard? I don't know! I feel so bad now :( xD

I liked the reflection of the fishes on the water surface.
Thought this looked pretty artsy^^

Doesn't this frog look like a porcelain figure? It was real!
I think it's really pretty^^

Imagine having a snake this size on your porch! I would freak out, lock the door and burn the house down, with me still inside, because I could never ever forget that feeling. ^^

It's really difficult do takes pictures of persons standing in front of a aquarium -.- So frustrating!
Either the person is just black or the aquarium glass reflects the flash so much, that you can't see any of the fishes. -.-
I had to decide if I leave the spotlight to the fishes or if I grab it myself^^
I decided to be nice and give the fishes the advantage^^ There are already so many pictures of myself on this blog xD

Now comes what I like the most! The aquaria. I love to see all the little fishies :D I love fishes in general, they are always so peaceful (at least in the aquarium they are^^)
I'd love to have a huge aquarium in my house someday. One wall just fishes and corals.

This would look good in a living room wouldn't it?

Let me cuddle you! <3

Can you spot the fish?

A baby chameleon :D Obviously this wasn't in the aquarium, but in a seperate cage.

Guess who they're looking for?

Lol, look at the eyes^^ Would be a good voyeur.

This is my favorite aquarium! It's so huge, I think it's about as high as my house is! Okay, you shouldn't rely on my guesses cause I suck at guessing heights.
But still, it's huge!

Pretty bird :D

Tried to make an artsy shot from behind a waterfall^^

LOOK AT THIS PHOTO!
Looks like something from a magazine right?
I did it myself ^^ I was so shocked that I'm able to take such pretty pictues xD
I'm really proud of myself^^

Okay, that's all for now.
If you made it through all the photos until the end, I love you^^
<3
